Time Travel...the ever mysterious...ever intriguing impossibility that we all (I think) wish were real...at least to some extent.

Gabrielle Meyer takes this improbability and creates a world where the impossible becomes reality as we follow Maggie through, not two, but three timelines in search of answers and a happy ending. Rooted in history, this story absolutely absorbed my every thought. I don't know that I've ever shared the plot line of a book with my husband more than this one. Bouncing my ideas for the twists I was anticipating, things I hoped were going to happen, and aspects that I was afraid WOULD happen.

Historical Romance with faith and time travel. I feel that the author covered the basics in a concise manner without having to immerse the story into the sci-fi realm. Adventure, peril, heartache, and uncertainty pair beautifully with the passion, family, love, and faith in this story. Every.single.page in both of these books are filled to the brim and will keep you turning the page until the very end.

In This Moment is the second book of the Timeless Series and I strongly encourage you to read When the Day Comes first as there is a lot of background that is explained and essential to the storyline in book two.

Join Dash and Lucy as they discover home. Amanda Dykes brings the wonder of the heavens and the mysteries of the sea alive within the pages of this book. Pouring heart and soul into the very depths of this story, the author conveys a message of hope, life, love, and the truth that..."Anything is Possible."

A split time novel that jumps between present day and into the midst of the Napoleonic war in the early 1800s. You'll soon find yourself trying to figure out the connection beteven the two time lines late into the night. And once it hits you... you will be blown away! I loved every page, every character...

this entire story was brought to life in my mind from Page 1. The characters felt REAL, the "villains" believable...and there was a hearty dose of compassion and empathy that accompanied those feelings for these people.

Light and Dark...Hope and Despair...Home.

This story is filled with beautiful descriptions and exciting adventures. A truly beautiful story.

My Thoughts

Oh, this story! THIS.STORY!!! People...It was so good...I read it TWICE! (Ok, listened to it...but still) Cried like a baby both times...And felt the surge of the sea as the storms raged.

A beautiful time-slip Historical Fiction (*This book is General Fiction and therefore has some language. Otherwise an absolutely clean-read*) from new-to-me author, Hazel Gaynor. I have now read 4 of her books and ordered her newest release. Let's just say, she has me hooked! This story focuses on the lives of several women...all connected by a single tragedy that took so many lives and was the making of heroine, Grace Darling. The tenacity, strength (even in the face of fear), and loyalty of these women is astounding and exquisite.

This story will linger with you, speak to you, and hopefully, help you grow. I know this is true for me. I strongly encourage readers to check this one out...And while you're there grab The Girl Who Came Home and The Cottingley Secret as well!!! 😄

My Thoughts

FAIRIES!!! Oh, this story was absolutely delightful. The mystery of the fairies and the charming romance simply swept me away.

A time-slip story set in Ireland and England. A family secret. A darling family and a woman who finally decides to make her own path...be her own mapmaker. Something Old Bookshop really makes me want to open my own bookshop now lol! I love the history, the stories, the magic that infuses the pages of this book.

I listened to this story and the narrators (like the rest of Hazel Gaynor's narrators) are simply incredible. They really bring the story to life and make it feel like I could turn around and see real-life fairies.

Gaynor's words and storytelling captivates and entrances to the point of obsession. So much so, that I have already pre-ordered her next release. I can't believe that I haven't read her books before...And thanks to my new book club, I now have a new favorite author.

My Thoughts

Oh my goodness!!! Y'all...ALL.THE.FEELS!!! I listened to this story on a road trip and I couldn't believe how FAST the trip went. My heart was pounding in my chest as the dreaded day of the sinking of the Titanic drew nearer. I love the dual timeline aspect of this novel and how it all connected in the end. Don't worry...no spoilers...but let's just say I was pleasantly surprised.

The narrators were beautifully cast and the story was so fantastic. The imagery and the voices were moving and believable. Such a sad and tragic story, filled with love and hope.

I am so excited to read more of Hazel Gaynor's books! I have already read four in the last couple of weeks and pre-ordered her newest one. Eeeep! If you have not read any of her books...I STRONGLY urge you to check them out. PLEASE NOTE: This is General Market Historical Fiction. There is some language. But otherwise clean.

My Thoughts

Kristy Cambron's books are always bursting with so many emotions. Castle on the Rise is no different. While in the same series as The Lost Castle, with some of the same characters reappearing, there is a decidedly different tone to this story. With the focus of the historical threads around Irish uprisings and their fight for independence, there are several aspects of the present day thread that cause all the feels. (There are some things that could be triggers as well.)

Traveling through the different eras can seem a bit quick, but it definitely made me want to keep reading. Getting to know Laine on a deeper level and learning more about the history of Ireland was simply a fantastic combination. The hope and love and rebellion woven throughout this story captures the heart and imagination in a very real way. Cambron's ability to write raw, tangible faith has always blown me away.

Even though the setting is different from book one, I highly recommend starting this series with The Lost Castle. There is background information that I would consider crucial to the storyline in this book. And don't miss book three, The Painted Castle, arriving on shelves October 2019.
