First Line Fridays (Giveaway!!!) - Week Four

It appears to be the end of the week again...and you know what that means! Grab whatever book you are next to and post the first line! Hosted by the wonderful Carrie from Reading is my SuperPower

Do you have plans this weekend? My husband has been working on a reading nook/bookshelves set for me. I will post pictures of our progress this weekend. SO excited! My first line this week is from a book I am drooling over! My husband (yes, he is amazing) got me Melanie Dickerson's book The Huntress of Thornbeck Forest for my birthday last year and I fell in love...

The second book in the Medieval Fairy Tale series is NOW AVAILABLE!!! And here is my first line:

The year 1363, Thornbeck Forest, The Holy Roman Empire
Reinhart Stolten, Margrave of Thornbeck, spotted the pack of wolves devouring their fresh kill at the bottom of the ravine.

And...Can I say...I kept reading for a bit. I had to force myself to put it down!

Share with us what YOUR first line is! And head over to Reading is my SuperPower to join in more First Line Friday fun with Carrie. (P.S. Check out her HUGE Reader Appreciation Giveaway while you are at it!)

  6. Okay same line that I shared over on Carrie's website (and a little marketing to boot!)

My first line for today is from Jody Hedlund’s newest book Forever Safe(release day of June 1st). Right now it’s only available for Kindle, but she assures us there will be paper copies in the near future! You can pre-order on Amazon (there’s my marketing job done for the day, lol)

“I still can’t believe in less than six weeks I’ll be Mrs Nathaniel Winthrop II”

Weekends are when we watch the grand-girl while mom works. We are taking her to Costco (or Sam's Club depending on where you live) to do some shopping and Demo-dining...you know, those yummy samples they hand out to people :-) Grandpa got her started on that....NOT Grandma just to set the record straight, haha!
A reading nook & bookshelves, girl your man is a keeper!! I should hire him to come do some for my house :-) Or just build an addition and make it my personal library..haha!

    1. Forever Safe is on my list to read after The Beautiful Pretender! YAY!!! He is a keeper for sure! He is in the construction business so he is handy to have around! I LOVE Costco products...But I try to avoid it as much as possible (I send my husband...another reason to keep the man around lol). Sounds like your weekend will be filled with fun memories! <3 Thank you for continuing to join in our Friday fun!
