First Line Fridays - The Thorn Healer - 11/25/16

Friday, November 25, 2016

Happy Thanksgiving!!!

I hope you had a lovely holiday! Ours will be spent (yes I am writing this ahead of time) with my husband's family this year. Just a small gathering. But the day promises to be full of enjoyment and relaxation.

If you can manage to scrounge up a book in your turkey coma...grab it and post the first line!

If y'all don't know by now, I am kinda in love with Pepper Basham's books. (She is pretty swell too.) So this week I am featuring her latest release The Thorn Healer. It is releasing on December 6th, so make sure you pre-order it today!

"Wounded soldiers returned from war as heroes. Wounded nurses returned as old maids."

Yes, yes...I know...That is two lines. Check out my REVIEW and SNEAK PEEK at The Thorn Healer after you post your first line.

Post your First Line and what you are THANKFUL for below and head over to see what First Lines my lovely friends have today!

I am living my nightmare. A violent storm has overtaken our steamship, and as we mount high on the crest of a wave one moment, then plunge sickeningly into a watery trough the next, I am certain we are about to sink.

Had to let you in on the second line there, too much suspense for just one little line!

    1. What book is that? Is it Love Unexpected? It sounds like Jody Hedlund's book.
