Happy Friday!
Ok...I jumped on this band wagon. I saw that Netflix was releasing the movie for this soon and I REALLY want to read the book first (yes, I am a nerd like that). Have you read it? I can't WAIT!!! I may end up listening to the audiobook through SCRIBD though. (If you haven't checked out SCRIBD yet, you can get a FREE 30-Day trial HERE. Yes, it's really a FREE trial and you can cancel anytime. SCRIBD has changed my life!)
Today’s first line is from...

THE MERCHANT OF VENICE, ACT 2, SCENE 2
Celeste Jamison tossed and turned but couldn't sleep.
Happy Friday!😎
ReplyDeleteMy first line comes from a book I will be reading soon, Oh My Stars by Sally Kilpatrick.
And it came to pass in those days, that a decree went out from my mother that I would be playing the Virgin Mary in the Dollar General drive-through Nativity whether I liked it or not.
Haha! I love those first lines and can't wait to read this book!
Have a great weekend and happy reading!😊📚
I cut the headlights and turned onto Lunada Bay Road. Fog crept around the hilly street, clasping hands with darkness. I could barely see more than a few feet ahead.

I’m listening to the audio book also!! Super excited to see this on Netflix also!! I hope you have a wonderful weekend ❤️
ReplyDeleteI suggest you read it instead of listening to the book. I just listened to is. The book is written in letters. Because of this I could not keep track of who was who and really struggled to get through it. I think the story is probably good, but should be read.
ReplyDeleteOver on my blog, I'm showcasing the first line from Carolyn Miller's new novel, Miss Serena's Secret. It's SO good. I'm almost finished with the book, so here I will share the first line of chapter 26.
ReplyDelete"I cannot help you."
A bit blunt and harsh! Lol.
I hope you're having an awesome weekend filled with great reading time. 😀❤📚
I've never heard of this one. Enjoy! I hope you can stop by:
