First Line Friday - Midnight on the River Grey

Thursday, July 18, 2019

Happy Friday!

I don't talk about the husband very often here, but he is pretty amazing! This weekend he took the boys out and let me have a relaxing day reading at home. And he came back with BOOKS! So I am sharing one of those with you for my first line today.

Happy Reading!

Today’s first line is from...

Midnight on the River Grey
Abigail Wilson

1811
The Scottish Highlands
"Who's there?" My mother's haunted whisper drew me to her bedside.

  1. MacKinac County, Michigan
    Prologue
As Noah bolted out of Robert’s pickup, he spied flames devouring the brush outside the fire pit. There’s been an unusual warm spell for the area, leaving conditions dry. He heard the ski resorts needed to make snow. He shook his head at such nonsense.
