Publisher: Julie Lessman, LLC
Publication date: September 30, 2016
Number of pages: 307

He sets hearts on fire.
She’s been burned by love.
Can hope survive the flames of the past?

School teacher by day, ghostwriter by
night, sweet and shy Shannon O’Bryen
doesn’t mind writing romance on the sly,
but to live it? No, thank you, not since
the man she loved turned out to be a
player who broke both her heart and
her spirit. Now focused more on her faith
and her fiction, she vows the next time
she falls in love, it will be safely—through
the pages of a book.

Dr. Sam Cunningham is a charismatic
player who breaks hearts as regularly as
he washes his pearl-white Corvette.
Abandoned as a young child, Sam was

an orphan shuffled through the foster-care system, bitterly driven to prove he is worthy of love—the kind that lasts forever. Once he learns Shannon is a romance writer, he enlists her help in winning back his ex-girlfriend. She teaches him about faith and the true definition of love, and he soon discovers he’s been seeking it in the wrong place all along—and with the wrong girl. But can he convince a woman who's been burned by love to open her eyes—and her heart—to a love everlasting?

My Thoughts
I can not believe the emotions that consumed me as I read Love Everlasting. The hope, the sorrow, the love and the broken heart. Out of all the books I have read, this one hit closest to home. I have a soft spot for "bad boys" reformed, because I married one myself.

Shannon and Sam had me wrapped around their little fingers from the first chapter and I was so anxious to see how everything would "play" out. Watching both of them work through the hurts and fears of the past, learning to lean on God's strength, and trust in Him. To see them open their hearts to vulnerability and grow in their faith. This is the epitome of true love. Not only between a man and woman, but between our Heavenly Father and His children. Although, the people we love are human, and are still capable of making mistakes, hurting us. God's love never fails. For HIS love is everlasting.

Will Shannon be able to pick up the pieces of her shattered past? Or will she continue to run from love? Does Sam ever find the everlasting love that his heart craves? Or will he continue to take the "easy" path of the "love them and leave them" player? This book will have you crying and yelling and sighing and fanning (oh those kisses)...Julie writes "Passion with a Purpose" and it couldn't be more beautiful or real! And for someone who only recently started reading contemporary fiction, I am SOLD!

I received a free copy of Love Everlasting from the author. This did not influence my review. All opinions expressed are mine alone.

Beautiful review on one of my very favorite book series from one of my very favorite authors - Rachel, thank you!! Isn't 'Love Everlasting' beautiful?? My reading preference is Christian Fiction historical romance but Julie completely stole my heart with her first contemporary, 'Isle of Hope' - it became my favorite of all her books.

Being a rebellious, dysfunctional girl for a number of years before yielding control of my life to God - I relate so well to the characters in her books, and being an emotional person - I thrive on all that passion of hers, LOL!! Julie has a unique writing style unlike that of any other author - each of her beautiful, inspiring books hold a very special place in my heart, as does she!! She could write any genre and I would love it because the passion and faith in each of her books, and because she pours so much of herself and her own experiences into her writing.

By the way, I love your rating system also!!

Shared your post!!

Rachel, if the dedication had you crying - you don't want to hear how it affected me, LOL. It was a complete surprise until I began reading 'Love Everlasting'. Just another example of the sweetness of Julie that makes her one of your favorite people - as you commented on FB - one of my very favorite and one of so many other readers.

I consider myself blessed to have your friendship and to have met you also, Rachel - I so enjoyed getting to know you better as we spent time together over those several days in Nashville, however, your loving kindness shone through immediately!! Blessings and hugs!!
