First Line Friday - Unraveling (and Cover Reveal)

Happy Friday!

No matter what I do, I just can't seem to stay away from this series. I have a VERY good excuse though! I wanted to share with you the cover for the NEXT book in the series, Unbreakable. I am SO excited! But, it doesn't release until May 2018. 😭(I know, it's not like I don't have enough books to read as it is.) Unraveling is a continuation of the story in Unblemished. If you have not read that one, you can find my review HERE. This story DOES go in order. If you will recall, Unblemished recently won the INSPY Award for the category, Literature for Young Adults. Such an incredible story!

Act I
What Once Was Mine

One
Gleam and Glow

Gasp. Ugh. Crud. Drat. Blerg. "Crowe." The Second Reflection curse spews from my mouth as I spring from the cushy armchair in the most deserted corner of the castle library. Books and journals fall from my lap and crash to the hardwood floor.

Here it is....The covers in this whole series are simply breathtaking!!! But THIS one I think is my favorite! I can't stop staring at it!

  1. Intriguing opening line! I have Unblemished and Unraveling on my Kindle to read - I love the covers, and I've heard great things about Unblemished. So many books to read!

I'm currently reading A Name Unknown by Roseanna M White, and here's the first line:

"Rosemary Gresham may have been a thief, but she was a thief who preferred to work in broad daylight."

  2. I love the covers for these books. Unblemished wasn't for me, but this first line for the sequel seems intriguing!

My first line is from To The Farthest Shores by Elizabeth Camden. (It's one of the many books I'm reading right now hehe)

“U.S. Army Base At The Presidio
    San Francisco, 1898

Jenny Bennett woke as pebbles clattered against the window.”

  3. Happy Friday! My first line (actually first 3 lines) is from His Secret Alaskan Heiress by Belle Calhoune:
" 'Here it is. Fresh out of the oven. One reindeer pizza with feta and spinach,' Sophie announced in a chirpy voice as she set the order down in the middle of the table."

  7. Isn't it just painful when the release date for the book you want to read isn't until 2018?! Happy Saturday! :)

    1. Usually the YA books I read, I binge read after they are all out...Because I get so sucked into the story. Most of the "Adult" books I read are stand alones, so I don't have a cliff hanger dangling me for a whole year!
