While the folks at The Broke and the Bookish take a break for the summer, I am having fun adding my own unique twist to Top Ten Tuesday posts. Carrie from Reading is my SuperPower gave me the idea to use Pantone's 2017 Spring/Summer color palette. In case you are unfamiliar with what those colors are, here ya go:
I LOVE colors! And these are FUN and BRIGHT! I decided to stick with the book spines since they are easier for me to see on the shelf and book spines don't get enough love. I also hd to stick to books I actually own a print copy of (or that isn't loaned out at the moment) So here we go...
Rebellious Heart - Jody Hedlund
I have yet to read this one, but I adore Jody Hedlund!
Treasure Island - Robert Louis Stevenson
The Secret of Pembrooke Park - Julie Klassen
This book is probably my favorite Julie Klassen book to date! Such a good one! My Review
The Things We Knew - Catherine West
I promise the spine is orange! Another one on my TBR.
The Magnolia Duchess - Beth White
This is such a good series! And they have the perfect colors....My Review.
The Creole Princess - Beth White
See, I told you...Perfect colors! I don't have the first one in the series, but I can bet I could have used it for the Hazelnut. My Review.
Chasing Secrets - Lynette Eason
I can't wait to read this one! I have had an ARC for a couple months now...and haven't been able to dive into it! :(
Every Girl Gets Confused - Janice Thompson
I won this book in the big giveaway for CFRR last year! I haven't read it yet, but I love the colors!
The Bachelor Girl's Guide to Murder - Rachel McMillan
Ok, so it isn't QUITE perfect...but...close right? And in person the cover does look closer to the Kale. My Review.
For the Record - Regina Jennings
A cute Ozarks romance story! My Review.
This is PERFECT!! I love!! So pretty!
ReplyDeleteYAAAAY! Thank you for the inspiration!
DeleteOh I love all the muted colors!!! So chill and I'd love to curl up with any one of those books!
ReplyDeleteSaaame!!!!
DeleteYay! You got Bachelor Girls in the mix!
ReplyDeleteOf course! Haha!
DeleteWhat a fun idea! My sister owns a T-shirt company, and I'm always checking the "new" Pantone colors with her, but I had no idea that For the Record was trending. Thanks for including the book! (And Betsy is a bit of a hazelnut, herself.)
ReplyDeleteHow fun! Yes I agree! I love Betsy!
DeleteNice idea! :) I enjoyed that.
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteLove this! Great job!
ReplyDeleteThanks Nancy!
DeleteThis is SUCH a cool idea, Rachel. I love using colors to relate to bookish things (*ahem* such as bookstagram ;D), so seeing that translate for a Top Ten Tuesday post is neat. :)
