First Line Friday - Siren's Song

Happy Friday!

This week we are celebrating St. Patrick's Day! While this book is not Irish....the cover is quite beautiful! And green...so...that's all that really matters right? Haha! This is book 3 in the Storm Siren Series by Mary Weber. And let me tell you...FANTASTIC!

Happy Reading!

Today’s first line is from...

Siren's Song
Mary Weber

I pull harder on the air currents while starring at the broad-shouldered black man beside me.

  1. Love Mary Weber (well, I enjoyed the Sofi Snow series. Haven't read this trilogy yet).

My current read is Finding Evergreen by Jennifer Rodewald:

Brandi's head throbbed. The hateful words still sizzled in her ears as the front door brushed open.

    Have a fabulous weekend!

  3. That cover is gorgeous!!!

    Happy Friday!

Today at my blog, I am sharing the first lines from Jennifer Delamere's latest novel, The Heart's Appeal. It's such a great book!

Here I will share the first lines from my next-up book, Finding Evergreen by Jennifer Rodewald. This is my first read of this author's works, but I am very excited!!!

    "July
Brandi's head throbbed. The hateful words still sizzled in her ears as the front door brushed open. Ethan stepped over the threshold."

  4. Your St. Patty's Day graphic is so cute, little mama!!!

Ty Remington blamed the homemade orange marmalade cake for why he found himself huddled under an overhang off some faraway path in Glacier National Park, shivering, praying he might live through the night.
Storm Front by Susan May Warren

  5. Such a fun trilogy!

I'm sharing a book with an Irish hero on my blog today, so here's the first line of an audiobook a friend recommended to me, The Bookshop on the Corner by Jenny Colgan:

"The problem with good things that happen is that very often they disguise themselves as awful things."

    Happy Friday!

  6. YAY for green! That's my favorite color!

Here are the first lines from chapter 1 of my current (heart-wrenching) read: You are more than this. Andrew Harris glared at his smartphone while his mother’s text burned into his mind. – from Blue Columbine by Jennifer Rodewald

  7. That cover certainly fits the St Patrick's Day theme. And what a dress!

I'm sharing the first line from A Season to Dance by Patricia Beal on my blog today, but I'll share here from the book I'm currently reading: A Chance at Forever by Melissa Jagears:

    "I wish you luck, George."
    "It's Aaron now. Don't forget."

    Have a great weekend!

  8. “HAPPY BIRTHDAY, Jesse.” Justin Cade raised a beer to his reflection then gulped half of the microbrew.
